If you haven't been diagnosed with rosacea formally and are unsure whether or not you have acne or rosacea, you can view this handout from the American Academy of Dermatology: Acne vs Rosacea
Either way, our dermatologists will review your submission and alert you if they believe acne treatment is more appropriate!

Ivermectin 1% kills the mites that live on the skin and contribute to rosacea. Metronidazole 0.75% decreases redness and bumps by reducing inflammation in the skin. Niacinamide 4% also reduces inflammation in the skin, improving the symptoms of rosacea.
How do I use it? Use a pea size amount, and rub a thin layer of medication nightly to all affected areas.
How well does it work? In one study 85% of patients using ivermectin saw significant improvement, and 84% experienced "clear or almost clear" skin after 16 weeks! We've combined this cream with metronidazole and niacinamide for added efficacy.
What are the side effects? Less than 1% of people will experience skin irritation. Stop this medication if you epxerience any worrisome side effects.
Based on your responses you are not an ideal candidate for doxycycline pills through our telehealth platform. If you would like to start doxycycline please visit your primary care physician or a dermatologist. Click next to wrap up your visit and start treatment with the topical cream!
How do I use it? Take one pill twice daily with food, 12 hours apart.
Why two pills a day? At this dosage doxycycline does not act as an antibiotic - instead it only works to decrease inflammation. This means that it is safe to stay on long-term without worrying about changing bacterial flora!
How well does it work? Studies have shown 80-100% clearance of lesions within 4 weeks of usage with 50% decrease in redness.
Side effects? If not taken after a meal you may experience nausea. Take pills with a full glass of water to avoid esophageal irritation. Doxycycline may make oral birth control less effective, and may make you more sensitive to the sun. Rare side effects can include enterocolitis, rashes, headache, vertigo/dizziness, and rare immunologic reactions. If you experience any worrisome side effects stop the medication and seek medical help.

How do I use it? Take one pill in the morning and one pill in the evening on a full stomach.
Oxymetazoline 0.9% constricts the superficial blood vessels in the skin decreasing redness for up to 12 hours. Niacinamide 4% also reduces inflammation in the skin, improving the symptoms of rosacea.
What does this cream do? This cream is best used as needed before events, or situations where your rosacea might flare. It's a redness remover, temporarily fixing the symptom of redness, but does not treat the root cause of rosacea.
How do I use it? Apply a pea sized amount of cream in a thin layer to cover the entire face. Wash your hands immediately after use.
What can I expect? You can expect to see a significant reduction in redness within 30 minutes to 1 hour. Maximal effect is seen within 6 hours.
Side effects? The most common side effects include skin irritation, acne, worsening of rosacea, or itching. If you experience skin irritation stop usage until the irritation resolves before restarting usage. This treatment is not recommended if you have a history of narrow angle glaucoma. Oxymetazoline may exacerbate vascular insufficiency, Raynaud's, thrombangiitis obliterans, scleroderma, or Sjogren's. If you experience any worrisome side effects or ocular symptoms seek immediate medical attention.
