Side effects? This compounded medication is generally well tolerated. Possible side effects may include anxiety, depression, gynecomastia, suicidal ideation, decreased libido, erectile dysfunction, decreased semen volume, headaches, low blood pressure, and swelling of the legs. The most common side effect is increased hair growth on the face or body. In some patients, symptoms have been reported to persist after stopping treatment. Headaches often improve over time. Rare side effects include pericardial or pleural effusion.
Seek medical attention immediately if you experience chest pain or palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness or fainting, rash, swelling of the hands or feet, or any other concerning symptoms. If you experience bothersome side effects, stop the medication and consult your primary care physician.
